John Coward Architects Ltd. have a current opportunity for an experienced Architect or Architectural Technician to join our dynamic and friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for management and delivery of multiple projects through all RIBA Stages. Good communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with clients, consultants and contractors is required.
At John Coward Architects you will have the opportunity to work an a wide variety of projects throughout the North West and extensively within the Lake District National Park. We specialise in the conservation and adaptation of historic buildings, both ecclesiastical and secular. The successful candidate will be provided with a unique chance to work on our Nation’s most significant buildings and sites. We also work on a huge variety of new build projects from one off houses to commercial and mixed-use developments. The variety and complexity of projects we work on makes for a very inspiring and enjoyable working environment.
Required skills and experience:
– Excellent technical and detailing skills
– In depth knowledge of UK building regulations and construction methods
– Good communication skills
– Proficient in the use of AutoCad and NBS Building
Desirable skills
– A minimum of five years’ experience
– CIAT accreditation (Architectural Technician only)
– A knowledge of traditional building construction methods
– REVIT experience
– 3D Visualisation
Due to the wide geographical spread of our work, you must be able to drive and have use of a vehicle for work purposes.
